PARIS – 12th February 2026. Descartes Underwriting, world leader in corporate parametric (re)insurance solutions, has expanded Commercial Director Juan Maria Marqués Domenech’s responsibilities to cover Central Europe in addition to Iberia, and has appointed Felix Dalheimer as Business Developer for Germany and Austria, further strengthening the company’s presence across Europe.
Dalheimer joins from Chubb, where he was an underwriter for German risks. He previously held technical roles in catastrophe analysis at R+V Re in Wiesbaden, developing extensive expertise in natural catastrophe risks and their financial impacts.
This combination of market knowledge and analytical capabilities will support Descartes’ ambition to accelerate growth and deepen client and broker relationships in Germany and Austria, some of Europe’s most sophisticated insurance markets.
Dalheimer will report to Marqués Domenech, a senior leader within the EMEA organization overseen by Blanca Berruguete, Head of EMEA Distribution & Client Management.
